Poster Guidelines

Poster Presentations

Poster Dimensions: AO Portrait style (No Landscape Please) – 841 mm (33 inches) wide by 1189mm (46.8 inches) tall.
Poster presenters are responsible for putting up their posters on the poster boards.
Velcro tabs will be provided.
Poster titles will NOT be provided.
Poster boards will be arranged numerically.
As the presenting author, you must be registered accordingly.
Poster presenters are encouraged to have A4 handouts of their posters available to give to interested parties.

Poster Sessions

Poster Sessions will take place in the upper concourse of the Arts Building in Trinity College and will be broken into two sessions. Poster Session 1 will run for Monday and Tuesday. Poster Session 2 will run Wednesday and Thursday. You will be notified closer to the time which Poster Session you should attend. There must be at least one poster author registered for the congress and in attendance at the sessions.

Poster Session viewings will be as follows:

Poster Session 1 – Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th September
Posters can be put up from 08:30 on Monday.
Poster presenter required to attend poster 10.40 – 11.20 each day and 15.55 – 16.35 each day.
Poster viewings also available to delegates 12.35 – 14.15 each day.
Posters must be removed by 17:30 on Tuesday.

Poster Session 2 – Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th September
Posters can be put up from 08:30 on Wednesday.  
Poster presenter required to attend poster 10.40 – 11.20 each day and 15.55 – 16.35 on Thursday only.  
Poster viewings also available to delegates 12.35 – 14.15 each day.
Posters must be removed by 17:30 on Thursday.

Please note: all posters must be removed by the designated times.  Any posters left on boards after this time will be removed and disposed of.  The congress can accept no responsibility for posters not removed as per the guidelines above.

Poster Prizes

There will be a number of prizes presented at the congress.
A prize instigated by the International Organization for Biological Crystallization, funded by a donation from Professor Jan Drenth and the European Commission OptiCryst Project, will be given to an individual or group who present a new innovative idea, which can be theoretical or practical/technological, via a poster or talk.
The prize will consist of €120 and a certificate.

In addition to the IOBCr Prize for Innovation, there will be seven prizes for posters (valued at €200 each), and two prizes available for the selected oral presentations (valued at €300 each).

Candidates should make themselves available to the poster judges at the appropriate time. More information will be available at the Registration Desk.

Poster Presenter Registrations

All poster presenters should be registered by this time and all payments are now due. Please note that all unpaid registrations or unregistered poster presenters will be removed from the programme after July 31st which is the deadline date for such payments. Due to print deadlines, should your registration and/or payment be received after this date, we cannot guarantee inclusion in the conference programme.
